FitTrend is excited to support Withings! #
Withings® invents, designs, and manufactures a range of award-winning, clinically validated smart health devices and associated apps. Withings provides an easy way to take accurate measurements from the comfort of your home and can help anyone master long-term health goals. Enabling Withings support will import your Withings data from Withings devices into your FitTrend Journal.
Withings Support Benefits #
When Withings support is active, it enhances your experience by showing your Withings and FitTrend data together. Overall, here are areas in FitTrend that you will see your Withings data:
- Daily totals such as calories, floors, steps, and distance recorded by your Withings Smartwatches and Trackers
- Sleep data from your Withings Smartwatch or Sleep Matt Tracker will be available
- Weight and body composition from your Withings Scale
- Blood Pressure data from your Withings Blood Pressure Monitor
- Charts for your Withings daily totals, sleep, blood pressure, and weight
However, your Withings device may not support all the possible data types that newer devices support. If you do not see specific types of data mentioned in FitTrend, then your Withings device may not support them.
How FitTrend imports Withings data #
FitTrend talks to Withings using its publicly available API. However, FitTrend cannot import your data without you granting us permission. Once granted, FitTrend will import your data automatically so it is available when you log in to FitTrend.
However, there is a limit to how much FitTrend can talk to the Withings servers per minute and per hour. Therefore, FitTrend will import your data and notify you if it reaches the limit. Although, this is temporary. When FitTrend begins to import data again, it will resume importing where it left off.
Enabling Withings Support #
Use the FitTrend Connect Manager to enable Withings.
