One of the main benefits of using FitTrend is importing data from third-party gadgets, apps, and integrations. Users import their data from multiple services into FitTrend to view everything in one place and share it with their friends. Additionally, they use FitTrend to back up their data across supported services.
Users manage all services and their settings through the FitTrend Connect Manager, which can be accessed by clicking My Account > Connect. The FitTrend Connect Manager allows users to disable, enable, remove, and control import settings for supported apps and Integrations. After enabling a service, FitTrend imports data based on the FitTrend Connect Manager settings for the service.
Currently, FitTrend does not write data to other third-party platforms. Your data from third-party platforms is read from other platforms, and a copy is stored in FitTrend. However, users can make changes to the data after it has been imported into FitTrend.
How to Enable a Service #
Steps #
1. Go to My Account > Connect
2. Select Enable Service to show the list of supported 3rd party services
3. Select the service to enable
4. Click Enable
Next, you will log in to the service’s website and grant FitTrend permission to import your data. Then, you will return to FitTrend to select the types of data to import from the service. Lastly, select the data to import and click Import.

FitTrend will begin importing data. It may take time to import all your data from a service. Most services limit the number of requests per minute, hour, or day. If this occurs, FitTrend sends you a message as a courtesy. However, FitTrend will continue where it left off the next time it imports data.
Importing Data #
There are several ways FitTrend imports data. Primarily, FitTrend will check each service for new data and import it when the user logs in. However, users have options to import data manually:
– Selecting Customize > Import from the Journal. This action starts an import, which will import data for all days that have not yet been imported.
– Selecting Import when viewing any specific day in the Journal. This action imports data only for the selected day. Furthermore, this is useful after deleting entries to re-import them from the service.
– Selecting Import in the Connect Manager. This action starts an import for all days not yet imported for the selected service. This method is necessary when first enabling a service.
It isn’t necessary to manually import data unless the data has changed on the service’s server. In this case, you can click on the day in your journal and re-import the data for that day. Otherwise, FitTrend will automatically retrieve data until it reaches your oldest entry.
