FitTrend is excited to support Garmin! #
Garmin® makes products that are engineered on the inside for life on the outside. Garmin does this so you can make the most of the time you spend pursuing your passions. Enabling Garmin support will import your Garmin data from Garmin devices into your FitTrend Journal.
Garmin Support Benefits #
When Garmin support is active, it enhances your experience by showing your Garmin and FitTrend data together. Here is a list of the kinds of Garmin data that you will see in FitTrend:
- Activities and workouts
- Blood Pressure
- Breathing rate while asleep
- Calories burned
- Daily active minutes, distance, floors, and steps
- Health Snapshots
- Heart Rate Variability
- Pulse Ox (SpO2)
- Stress levels throughout the day
- Time asleep and time spent in different sleep cycles
- Track weight, BMI, and body composition
- VO2 max and Fitness Age
- More charts to trend your FitTrend and Garmin data
However, your Garmin device may not support all the possible data types that newer devices support. If you do not see specific types of data mentioned in FitTrend, then your Garmin device may not support them.
How FitTrend imports Garmin data #
FitTrend communicates to Garmin servers using its API, which Garmin makes available to its partners. However, FitTrend cannot import your data without you granting us permission. Once granted, FitTrend will import your data automatically so it is available when you use FitTrend.
There is a limit to how much FitTrend can talk to Garmin servers. Therefore, FitTrend will import your data and notify you if we near the limit. Although, this is temporary. When FitTrend begins to import data again, it will resume importing where it left off.
