The purpose of run types allows you to create categorizes for different runs such as a long run, road race, fartlek, tempo, or hill training. FitTrend allows you to create any number of run types that meets your specific needs. Run Types are required in order to properly associate runs/races, take advantage of analytical reporting, and to track number of runs per run type.

On the right side of your run types, you will see a list of your existing run types and the number of workouts recorded for each run type.
There is two places that you can access the Run Type Manager to add a new run type. The first place is from the hyperlink next to the run type pull down box where you manage runs and races. The second place is by clicking the Run Type button from the Settings Tab. You will see the following screen no matter which method you chose to access the Run Type Manager.

In the Run Type Manager, you will be able to specify the information for a specific run type.
The run type list, located in the right column, will contain all run types that you have added. The run type with an asterisk beside it indicates that this run type will be the default option in the run type pull down box where runs and races are managed. By selected of the default checkbox, this run type will be the new default run type.
Once you have entered the information, click the Save button to add the run type to your run type list.
Clicking the New button will clear any information entered. Clicking the settings button will redirect you to the Settings Tab.
To edit a run type, simply click a run type from the run type list (located in the right column).

Once you have modified the desired information, you can click the Update button to save the changes for this particular run type.
Clicking the New button will clear any information entered in any of the fields. However, it will not delete the existing run type. You have to edit a run type and then click the Delete button to permanently remove it.
Clicking the settings button will redirect you to the Settings Tab.
